Starlene Sharma
Starlene leverages global capital markets knowledge with experience scaling businesses to deliver climate results. Before Green Artha, Starlene was the Founding CEO of AIC Sangam, where she established India’s first government-recognized cleantech incubator while simultaneously structuring new mechanisms for early-stage cleantech investments at Sangam Ventures. A two-time entrepreneur, she has built on financial insight gained as a portfolio manager for a New York-based hedge fund to grow startups globally. She started her career as the first staff and eventual Portfolio Manager of Landmark Advisors, where she grew the portfolio from 80m to 880m.
Starlene is also Consulting Climate Editor for Business India and the founder of the Cleantech Women’s Innovation Network.
Maya Chandrasekaran
Maya is an expert at scaling companies that change lives, both as an investor and in practice. As one of the founding members of Menterra Venture Advisors, she built the Education and Skilling investment practice. Maya was part of the founding leadership that scaled Babajob.com into India’s largest tech-enabled livelihoods platform, securing meaningful work for over 10 million people in just 7 years. Maya’s prior experience includes being an early team member of Janalakshmi, one of India’s largest urban MFIs, and working with Capvent Fund of Funds.
Maya also co-founded and continues to actively run the 200+ member Women in Investing network and is a mentor to several startups and impact groups.
